The Society's Goals:
The non-profit society has five goals, which are:
(i) to promote overnight visits to Penticton during the shoulder season;
(ii) to ensure all microbrewers are able to promote their products at an affordable event;
(iii) to ensure the event does not compete with our local restaurants, pubs and night clubs during peak hours;
(iv) to run a responsible consumer tasting event in partnership with BC Liquor Stores Safe Ride Home Program;
(v) and most importantly to support a number of local registered charities.

The Okanagan Fest-of-Ale Society contracts an event coordinator who looks after the administrative component of the
society and event details year-round:

Proceeds from this community event:
The net proceeds from this community event are gifted to various qualifying Registered Charitable Organizations. The OFOA Board of Directors gather for a post-event meeting in July of each year to review the applications received and gift available funds to qualifying and deserving applications. The application process takes place between May 1st and June 15th each year. For more information on Charity Requests.
